Mark Wolfraad
Support Worker
About Me
Hi my name is Mark and I am a new support worker at Ampey. I moved to the Central Coast with my partner and young daughter 15 years ago. I am now a father to three beautiful children and I like to spend my free time exploring the coast with the kids going to the beach for a surf, bushwalking with our faithful Daschund dog "Douglas" or you can find me down at my local Gym and spending quality time with my friends and family.
I love travelling and have travelled to many countries around the world for work and leisure and planning more trips around Australia and beyond.
Experience
Over the years since finishing school I have worked in a number of industries from Retail, Fire protection, Mining, Law enforcement and Border protection, Security and now Disability support.
I found all the jobs that I worked to be rewarding in different ways and have value. My education includes: Advanced Certification in Fire Technology, Security Certificate and licence, Diploma of Government and I have just completed my studies in Cert 3 in Disability Support.
I have nearly one year of Disability Support experience and I have found an amazing feeling of satisfaction in the small and significant improvements to the lives and condition of the people that we provide support to. This satisfaction and feeling of reward drives me to provide the best service that I can for people that deserve our support and encouragement.

Samantha Simpson
Support Worker
About Me
Hey everyone! I'm Sam, born in the UK so you'll probably notice my accent and hear me before you see me! I live with my husband Dan, and our 2 children, Bailey and Maddison. My family is my everything! I have known some of the AMPEY team for over 10 years and worked along side a few too before coming to AMPEY. I had a break from work to concentrate on my family, and have joined the AMPEY family this year. There wasn't a question in my mind about joining the AMPEY family when I was ready to leave my "nest". The support and nurturing I give to my family is what I provide to my participants and co workers! Family is everything, AMPEY is my home away from home as it is for so many of our participants!
Experience
I have CERT III in Assistant in nursing and have worked in Aged Care as an AIN for 5 years. I went from Aged Care to childcare and eventually run and operated my own Family Day business. From there I then went into disability work for 4 years before going on maternity leave to have my kids. My daughter has ADHD & ODD, she is going through an ASD assessment right now too. I have participated in Sensory Processing workshops and worked with Occupational Therapist to learn about sensory processing. I have also completed Emotion Coaching training, and PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy) with psychologists, amongst other things, so from a parents perspective I understand that wanting the best for your child or family member, young or old is number 1 to you!
I'm currently studying CERT III in Individual Supports. Every day is a new learning curve and I love that I get to share my time with so many amazing people!
