About Me
I started AMPEY with my daughter and many other amazing people who I am proud to have on this journey with me. I love what I do and believe there is nothing better then seeing our participants happy and achieving magnificent steps to being independent and accepted in their community.

I am so proud of them and all they do to assist and support me.
I have two of the most beautiful granddaughters that I adore and love spending time with. Now I have an extended family that is AMPEY. I look forward to seeing AMPEY continue to provide the best, most innovative supports because we will never forget “the why”.

Ash Black
Support Worker
About Me
My name is Ashleigh and am a mum of a beautiful little girl and baby boy. My passion for this amazing industry came about from a personal experience. Travelling on a train I was accompanied by sister, who had been working in the disability sector for many years. At a particular stop a gentleman and his carer boarded the train. His demeanour was quiet, shy and hidden in the background of the world. I had the amazing pleasure of watching my sister begin a meaningful interaction that opened him up and made him feel special. It was beautiful to watch my sister emerge herself into his interests. From then on, I wanted to be apart of making someone else's day bright by supporting them to feel unique and a sense of connection.
Experience
I have my Diploma in Children's Services and nine years of experience. I am currently broadening my knowledge through completing my Certificate IV in Disability. I believe my childcare experience and being a mum really helps me connect with people.

About Me
Hi, I am Larissa! I am another new face at the AMPEY team. I'm so incredibly excited to have been given this opportunity. Being the youngest of the AMPEY team it's been comforting knowing how close the AMPEY family really are. I have always been passionate about helping individuals and seeing them grow and achieve big things is the biggest reward in itself. In my spare time I enjoy keeping myself active by going to the gym and spending time with my family.
Experience
I grew up a competitive gymnast from a young age, fell in love with encouraging young people to follow their dreams, and believe in themselves. Growing, coaching, training and competing alongside a wide range of different personalities and abilities gave me the confidence to one day fulfil my dreams of becoming a teacher in special education schools. I am only new to disability support but everyday has been a rewarding and new experience for me.

About Me
Hi my name is Rachel, after many years working in an office it was time for a change so I headed off to TAFE to do my Certificate III in Individual Support. I really had no idea what to expect or if I would even like it.
5 years later I am lucky enough to say that I love my job. I get to meet interesting people and build great relationships. I love being able to help people kick goals and I enjoy the challenge to think outside the square for different ways to achieve them.
In my spare time I love being outside with my dogs and riding motorbikes.
Experience
I have my Certificate III in Individual Support. I have worked for 5 years in both Community Support and Supported Independent Living accommodation. I have found that every day I am still learning something new.

About Me
Hi I'm Jorja, I've been at AMPEY for a few months now and love the family we've all created amongst ourselves. Being a support worker was the best decision I've made. When I'm not working, you'll find me at the gym, spending time with my nearest and dearest, catching the sunrise, sunsets and everything in between.
Experience
My experience in disability is just over a year. I made the switch and have never looked back. Every day is different and I thrive of it. I've spent previous working years in hospitality and retail, that face to face connection is something I've always been passionate about. I love watching our people grow not only customers but my co-workers to.
Experience
I have grown up with a close family friend who has additional needs. Spending most of my time with her I have grown to have an understanding of the disability sector from Community Access to Supported Independent living and everything in between.
