Robyn Black
Owner/Director

About Me

I started AMPEY with my daughter and many other amazing people who I am proud to have on this journey with me. I love what I do and believe there is nothing better then seeing our participants happy and achieving magnificent steps to being independent and accepted in their community.

I have made many amazing friends and learnt so much from everyone that I support, or I have worked with. Nothing means more to me then my family.

I am so proud of them and all they do to assist and support me.

I have two of the most beautiful granddaughters that I adore and love spending time with. Now I have an extended family that is AMPEY. I look forward to seeing AMPEY continue to provide the best, most innovative supports because we will never forget “the why”.

Experience

I am very experienced and over the years undertaken much study to further my knowledge and abilities. My qualifications are: Diploma in Disability, Diploma in Frontline Management, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, WHS Consultant. My most important training though is my life experiences.

Experience

Nine years ago I went searching for a more meaningful career in the disability sector. I love building up the people I work with and seeing them achieve the goals they want to accomplish! Ash Black..jpg

Ash Black
Support Worker

About Me

My name is Ashleigh and am a mum of a beautiful little girl and baby boy. My passion for this amazing industry came about from a personal experience. Travelling on a train I was accompanied by sister, who had been working in the disability sector for many years. At a particular stop a gentleman and his carer boarded the train. His demeanour was quiet, shy and hidden in the background of the world. I had the amazing pleasure of watching my sister begin a meaningful interaction that opened him up and made him feel special. It was beautiful to watch my sister emerge herself into his interests. From then on, I wanted to be apart of making someone else's day bright by supporting them to feel unique and a sense of connection.

Experience

I have my Diploma in Children's Services and nine years of experience. I am currently broadening my knowledge through completing my Certificate IV in Disability. I believe my childcare experience and being a mum really helps me connect with people.

What's goodie? I'm Brian! I'm here to connect, advocate and provide positive experiences for those around me. I am a dedicated Disability Support Worker and I love nothing more than seeing people excel. In my spare time you'll find me with my dogs, at the gym, on a jiu jitsu mat, or in front of a footy game cheering passionately for the Parramatta Eels. Working for AMPEY is such a fulfilling role and I cannot wait to kick goals as a team.

Experience

I have been apart of the disability industry for several years working across many different regions. In that time, I have worked along side a variety of people with various needs. I have learnt to conquer different challenges whilst overcoming boundaries that are present in their day to day life.
